I am digging into my family history to renew the female artistic output, that stopped with my great grandmother,
when she gave up painting Flora Danica after marrying my great granddad.
Instead she chose to support her husband’s career. He was a significant priest in Copenhagen in the mid 19th century.
This choice probably caused the mental and physical illness she suffered for the rest of her life.
I want to give that feminine power back in exploring the biggest and smallest particles in life – atoms and cosmos, the heart and the body.
I gather inspiration from both the feminine and the masculine side of the family. I am dealing with both the scientific subjects,
that took over after generations of priesthood and my own exploration of a personal spirituality based on my sensation of the world.
